WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) has raised $9.6 million across all entities in the first six months of 2019. RAGA’s fundraising total for the first two quarters of 2019 is nearly $4 million more than its total for the first two quarters of 2015, the last comparable year of RAGA’s four-year cycle.
“This year’s fundraising success was a team effort. Nearly every Republican attorney general was involved in accomplishing this record,” said RAGA Chairman and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. “Donors know Republican attorneys general serve as Freedom’s Frontline, supporting and defending the rule of law. Donors also understand the magnitude of 2019 and our ability to retake the majority with wins in Louisiana, Kentucky, and Mississippi.”
“2019 is an historic year for RAGA,” said RAGA Executive Director Adam Piper. “Not only are we celebrating our 20th Anniversary, but we have the opportunity of a lifetime to pick up two longtime Democrat-held seats in Kentucky and Mississippi, and hold Louisiana. RAGA is poised to retake the majority in November and this year’s fundraising will assist the exceptional candidates running in Kentucky, Mississippi, and Louisiana.”
Since RAGA’s founding 20 years ago, Republican attorneys general have served as both America’s last line of defense and freedom’s frontline, helping to restore limited government and the rule of law across America. Republican attorneys general alumni are America’s farm team and have played an outsized role in reshaping the federal judiciary, as they now represent nearly 20% of all federal judges appointed during the Trump Administration.
