Republican Attorneys General Are Protecting Americans During the Coronavirus Pandemic While Joe Biden and the Democrats Are Playing Politics
Chairman of the Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry today issued a strong rebuke to liberal Democrat candidate for President Joe Biden for playing politics in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic.
“Joe Biden is attempting to play politics right in the middle of a pandemic,” said Attorney General Landry. “His letter to President Trump on the legal issues surrounding the Affordable Care Act is not only in poor taste but also uniformed. A federal court has already ruled that the ACA is unconstitutional. It is critical the Supreme Court finish its review.”
RAGA Vice Chairman Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr also called out the former Vice President for his shameful politicization of a worldwide pandemic.
“It’s shameful that the former VP of the United States would play crass politics during a national crisis,” said Attorney General Carr. “Republican attorneys general will continue to uphold the constitution, fight to protect those with pre-existing conditions, and ensure better healthcare outcomes for the American people.”
RAGA Executive Director Adam Piper echoed the strong statements made by RAGA’s leadership team and called out the Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) for politicizing the coronavirus crisis.
“Unlike DAGA, which has focused its messaging on scoring partisan political points, RAGA has focused its efforts on helping Republican attorneys general communicate clear information during the biggest public health crisis of our lifetime – messages designed to protect consumers from price gouging, identify disaster scams, and echo urgent announcements from the Administration, including the CDC and other relevant government agencies. It is unfortunate DAGA has decided to push their unconstitutional healthcare agenda in a time of crisis, but not surprising given the narrative of national Democrats, led by Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, and Chuck Schumer, who are hurting everyday Americans by exacerbating partisan divides.”
