Republican voters in West Virginia renominated Patrick Morrisey during yesterday’s Republican Primary Election, setting the two-term incumbent attorney general up for reelection in November. Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) Executive Director Adam Piper released the following statement, congratulating Patrick Morrisey on tonight’s Republican primary victory.
“Attorney General Morrisey has been a champion for the rule of law. When Barack Obama was pushing unconstitutional, job-killing regulations on West Virginia’s coal industry, Patrick Morrisey was first on the frontline to push back. After Donald Trump was elected, Patrick Morrisey partnered with the Trump Administration to unleash West Virginia’s economy and protect conservative values. West Virginians can count on Patrick Morrisey to oppose illegal immigration, fight for coal, and work with Donald Trump to keep America Great.”
The winner of yesterday’s Democrat Primary Election is uncertain at this time, but regardless of the outcome, on November 3, West Virginians will choose between Patrick Morrisey, a results-oriented attorney general whose allegiance is to the Constitution and rule of law, or one of two radical liberals, both of whom would use the Attorney General’s office to push his radical agenda on West Virginians.
