Raúl R. Labrador is Idaho’s 33rd Attorney General. He was elected to his first term on November 8th, 2022.
Mr. Labrador holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brigham Young University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Washington School of Law.
Before serving the state of Idaho, Mr. Labrador founded and managed a law firm where he practiced immigration and criminal law. Labrador was elected to the Idaho House of Representatives in 2006, serving for two terms before being elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2010 where he served four terms. While serving Idaho in Congress, he served on the Judiciary Committee as the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Immigration and Border Security.
After leaving Washington, D.C., Attorney General Labrador returned to the practice of law and started a successful government relations firm in Boise, Idaho. He also served as the Chairman of the Idaho Republican Party.
Attorney General Labrador has been recognized as a leader in constitutional protection, border security, and individual liberties.
Attorney General Labrador lives in Eagle, Idaho with his wife Rebecca. They are the proud parents to five children and have six grandchildren.
