The Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) congratulates Derek Brown, the winner of the Utah Attorney General election.

“I have known Derek Brown for decades and am proud to call him a friend, and now my successor in the Utah Attorney General’s Office,” said RAGA Chairman and Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes. “As I consider all of the challenges facing Utah and our country, I cannot think of a better leader to guide the Utah Attorney General’s Office. Derek epitomizes integrity and lives his conservative and family values in both his personal and professional lives. He will be thoughtful, principled, and aggressive, as he defends Utah from federal overreach, crime, and other threats to our communities.”

“Throughout his distinguished career in politics and law, Derek Brown has built a reputation as somebody who gets the job done,” said RAGA Executive Director Peter Bisbee. “Now, it’s time for Derek Brown to lead the Utah Attorney General’s Office and continue delivering conservative victories for the people of Utah. As a former clerk to a federal appellate judge, former state representative, top aide to two U.S. Senators, and practitioner at a large law firm, Derek knows the legal strategies and techniques to successfully litigate our nation’s most important legal battles. I have no doubt that he will instantly become a leader among our nation’s Republican AGs.”
