Liberal Democrat Jeff Jackson will do and say anything to get elected. After using Chinese Communist-owned TikTok to build a base of millions of followers and raise millions of dollars, Jeff Jackson now wants to outlaw its use for others. Jackson’s hypocrisy came to a head when he voted last week to ban the use of TikTok in the United States.
Now, after receiving widespread blowback and losing hundreds of thousands of followers, Jackson is apologizing for voting to ban the use of TikTok. In Jackson’s hostage-video-style apology that was posted on TikTok over the weekend, hypocrisy was on full display. Jackson reiterated a previous statement that he does not accept corporate PAC money, yet he has accepted millions of dollars in support this year from the Democrat Attorneys General Association (DAGA), a PAC predominantly funded by corporations, including some who lobbied him in Congress to oppose TikTok’s use in the U.S. DAGA has already made a $4 million television ad reservation in the race.
“Jeff Jackson is hypocrisy personified,” said RAGA Executive Director Peter Bisbee. “A grown man addicted to social media like an underdeveloped adolescent, Jeff Jackson bases his political positions on ‘likes’ and ‘views’ instead of principles and values. If he can’t stand by a decision he made a week ago, how can North Carolinians trust his decision-making and leadership in the attorney general’s office?”
