Washington, D.C. — The Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) issued the following statement today following reports that former President Biden’s FBI targeted current White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles and current FBI Director Kash Patel, including recording a conversation between Wiles and her attorney. This follows a Senate Judiciary Committee report, led by Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), that revealed the Biden Administration’s FBI targeted nearly 100 Republican organizations, including the Republican Attorneys General Association, as part of its Arctic Frost investigation against President Donald Trump.
“The Biden Administration’s lawfare knew no bounds; they spied on Republicans and now, shockingly, reportedly violated a sacrosanct cornerstone of the legal system—attorney-client confidentiality. It is beyond unconscionable for federal officials to spy on Americans through their lawyers. RAGA, and some current and former Republican Attorneys General, have also been victims of these politically motivated and unconstitutional investigations. Thank you to FBI Director Patel for exposing this and for holding those at the FBI accountable. Sunlight is the best disinfectant for deep state lawfare, and we expect a full investigation into the Biden Administration’s misconduct in the coming weeks.” – RAGA Executive Director Adam Piper
