Missouri voters soundly elected Republican Attorney General Eric Schmitt, who was appointed to the top law enforcement officer position in 2018. Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) Chairman Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry released the following statement congratulating Attorney General Eric Schmitt on his victory.
“Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt is a fierce defender of the rule of law and rooted firmly in conservative principles. He was the first in the nation to sue Communist China for spreading misinformation about the origins of the coronavirus, a leader on Second Amendment issues, and a strong protector of religious freedom and free speech. The people of Missouri are lucky to have Eric serving as Attorney General for four more years.”
RAGA Executive Director Adam Piper echoed Chairman Landry’s remarks.
“Attorney General Eric Schmitt’s commitment to defending the rule of law, protecting Second Amendment rights, and partnering with law enforcement will continue to keep the state of Missouri safe and prosperous. Eric is a leader among the attorneys general and will continue to work hard to fight for the constitutional freedoms of all Missourians.”
