A federal court today granted a coalition of 13 Republican AGs, led by Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry, a major win against the Biden Administration’s attempts to disrupt the American energy industry. The court’s preliminary injunction will prevent the federal government from implementing the Biden ban on oil and gas lease sales on federal lands. The court’s action reinforces Constitutional limitations, will preserve thousands of jobs, and prevent energy costs from soaring.

“This is a victory not only for the rule of law, but also for the thousands of workers who produce affordable energy for Americans,” said Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry. “We appreciate that federal courts have once again recognized President Biden is completely outside his authority in his attempt to shut down oil and gas leases on federal lands.”

“Today’s injunction shows the power of our nation’s Republican attorneys general and their ability to halt harmful actions being handed down by the Biden Administration,” said RAGA Chairman South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson. “This is a victory for Americans who have seen gas prices double since President Biden took office, and the Biden Administration should take note before they try to implement policies through the back door.”
