WASHINGTON, D.C. — Republican Attorneys General Association-affiliated groups are going on offense in 2026, reserving nearly $11 million in initial fall television advertising across six key attorney general battlegrounds.
The first round of reservations includes major investments in Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Georgia, and Kansas— a clear signal that Republicans are prepared to expand the Republican AG majority this fall.
The reservations build on a growing Republican effort across the map, including Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird’s campaign already booking more than $2 million in fall television advertising.
“RAGA has a good map in 2026 and will be on offense because the reality is voters prioritize public safety and prefer Republican AGs who fight crime and win at the courthouse over Democrat AGs who pander to criminals with cashless bail idiocracy,” said RAGA Executive Director Adam Piper. “These early TV reservations and direct candidate investments are merely a down payment on the resources RAGA will marshal this fall.”
The initial reservations focus on competitive pickup opportunities where Democrats have embraced candidates and policies that put ideological activism ahead of public safety. In Michigan, Democrats endorsed Eli Savit, who made Washtenaw County (Ann Arbor & Ypsilanti) the first jurisdiction in Michigan to eliminate the use of cash bail and announced his office would stop pursuing certain drug-related charges. In Georgia, Democrats nominated Tanya Miller, who voted against HB 1105, legislation enacted after Laken Riley’s murder that requires jail officials to check inmates’ immigration status and cooperate with federal immigration authorities.
RAGA and Republican attorneys general-aligned organizations enter the 2026 cycle with historic momentum. RAGA previously announced it raised $29.3 million across all entities in 2025, the most ever raised by an attorneys general organization in a calendar year. According to Larry Sabato’s crystal ball, all five 2026 AG “toss up” races are held by Democrat AGs.
“This is just the first round,” Piper continued. “Democrats should understand that Republican AGs are not playing defense. We are taking the fight directly to them, and we are going to make sure voters know exactly what is at stake in these races.”
Additional reservations and investments will be made as the cycle develops.
