The Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) congratulates J.B. McCuskey, the winner of the West Virginia Attorney General election.

“Over the last eight years, West Virginians have come to know J.B. McCuskey’s commonsense approach to the management of state business,” said Utah Attorney General and RAGA Chairman Sean Reyes. “There is no better watchdog for West Virginia citizens and their interests than J.B. McCuskey, whether that’s protecting jobs from burdensome regulations or Second Amendment rights from bureaucrats and politicians in Washington, D.C. I expect Attorney General-elect McCuskey to hit the ground running on day one and be a tireless advocate for conservative values. I’m excited to see the work he will do with my colleague, current West Virginia Attorney General and Governor-elect Patrick Morrisey, to strengthen West Virginia.”

“At a time when our nation’s energy independence is under attack, from everything from electric vehicle mandates to the Clean Power Plan, West Virginia needs a strong advocate for its essential industries,” said RAGA Executive Director Peter Bisbee. “J.B. McCuskey is that fighter and will be an incredible asset to the coalition of Republican attorneys general who have spent the last decade fighting overreaching mandates from unelected bureaucrats.”
