Polls are now closed in South Carolina but the winner of the Palmetto State’s race for Attorney General (AG), Alan Wilson, was decided many months ago. Democrats could not find a candidate willing to challenge the popular three-term Republican incumbent, leaving Wilson unopposed for reelection. Wilson will become the longest-tenured Republican attorney general in the nation after his inauguration in January.

RAGA Executive Director Peter Bisbee remarked, “AG Wilson has been a leader among his peers, not only through his service as Chairman of RAGA but through his consistent, conservative vision. The rule of law and our Constitution are AG Wilson’s guides and I’m excited to continue working with him on pushing back against the Biden Administration and dismantling the Administrative State.”
