The Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) today announced Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen was elected RAGA Vice Chairman by his Republican attorney general colleagues at a meeting over the weekend. Knudsen, who previously served as Chairman of the Rule of Law Defense Fund (RLDF), will serve a one-year term as RAGA Vice Chairman.

“RAGA has been at the center of the crucial fight against the Biden Administration over the last two years, providing the resources needed to elect and re-elect conservative attorneys general across the country who are dedicated to protecting the rule of law,” said RAGA Vice Chairman and Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen. “It’s an honor to be elected by my attorney general colleagues as we work together to fight an Administration that has no regard for the Constitution or our Montana way of life. Republican attorneys general have been fighting to uphold public safety, defend the rule of law, and protect Americans’ Constitutional rights, and we aren’t slowing down.”

“As former Speaker of the Montana House and now as Attorney General, Austin Knudsen has demonstrated his effective, conservative leadership and earned the trust of Montanans,” said RAGA Executive Director Peter Bisbee. “AG Knudsen is not afraid to upset the status quo in defense of the Constitution and states’ rights, which allows Montana’s interests to take priority over unlawful mandates and regulations coming out of Washington, D.C. We are fortunate that AG Knudsen stepped up to help lead the nation’s only organization dedicated to electing and re-electing conservative attorneys general who are winning the most important legal battles of our days.”

Since President Biden took office, Republican AGs have filed 89 lawsuits, 15 motions to intervene, and 139 letters against the Administration, proving to be the most effective group of elected officials at upholding the rule of law and protecting the Constitution.
