WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) today highlighted an ad from its affiliated group Safer Michigan Fund, committed to electing conservative attorneys general and a safer Michigan.
“Fighting crime is on the ballot this November,” said RAGA Executive Director Adam Piper.
The contrast in Michigan could not be clearer: Career Prosecutor Doug Lloyd has spent decades putting Michiganders, victims, and public safety first, while Michigan Mamdani, Eli Savit, and Abdul Sayed represent a radical liberal agenda that puts criminals and ideology ahead of Michigan families.
As Washtenaw County Prosecutor, Savit pushed no-cash-bail policies that could put dangerous offenders back on the streets, refused to prosecute sex work, and implemented policies that effectively decriminalized hallucinogenic drugs. His record reflects a soft-on-crime approach that prioritizes leniency for offenders over accountability and public safety. Sayed has embraced the same kind of radical agenda, putting politics ahead of the safety of Michigan communities.
Lloyd represents the exact opposite: as a longtime prosecutor and former District Attorney in a deeply purple county, he understands that public safety is not a partisan issue.
This ad comes from RAGA’s nearly $7 million political spend across 13 states in August, launching an aggressive early offensive barrage to defend Republican attorneys general and flip Democrat-held offices across the country.
The initial spend is phase one of RAGA’s fall campaign and began immediately with a mix of digital and television advertising.
The spend supports Republican AGs in Iowa, Kansas, Georgia, Ohio, Florida, Texas, and AG nominees in Arizona, Colorado, Minnesota, Michigan, Nevada, New York, and Wisconsin.
