WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) today showcased two ads, “Protecting Kansas” and “Criminal’s Man” from its affiliated group, Safer Kansas Fund, committed to electing conservative attorneys general and a safer Kansas.
“Kris Kobach has made Kansas safer – from the the lowest crime rate in 57 years to saving lives by cracking down on deadly fentanyl drug dealers,” said RAGA Executive Director Adam Piper. “Our aggressive spending and ad campaign highlights the reality that Kris Kobach has kept Kansas safer while Chris Mann would put criminals before Kansans. Kris Kobach is the only choice who will keep Kansas safe.”
Kansas families have seen firsthand what Kris Kobach brings to the Attorney General’s Office: a focus on public safety, accountability, and results. Under Kobach’s leadership, Kansas launched a fentanyl task force, toughened penalties for fentanyl-related crimes, and saw fentanyl deaths decline statewide. He has also taken the Biden Administration to court on issues important to Kansas, including protecting girls’ sports, standing up for taxpayers, and defending the rule of law. His partnership with law enforcement has earned broad support. Fifty-one Kansas sheriffs have endorsed Kobach for reelection, recognizing his commitment to keeping communities safe and supporting those who serve them.
Chris Mann’s record tells a different story. As a member of the Kansas Sentencing Commission, Mann missed 57% of its meetings, including meetings where important sentencing decisions were made. During his time on the commission, he also voted on measures involving the release of offenders convicted of drug crimes.
Kobach has used the Attorney General’s Office to fight for Kansas families, stand with law enforcement, and hold criminals accountable. Chris Mann would bring a fundamentally different approach to the office, one that Kansans have seen before and that has failed to deliver the same results on public safety.
