The Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) congratulates Dave Sunday on winning the Pennsylvania Attorney General election, the first Republican to do so since 2008. RAGA endorsed Sunday in the Republican primary election last year and made a record investment in Pennsylvania this year. Sunday’s victory increases the total number of Republican-held Attorney General seats from 28 to 29.
“Dave Sunday is a star in the criminal justice world. He is a family man of principle and great substance. Dave fought to protect his country in the United States Navy and fights everyday to protect his community as a District Attorney. Now it’s time for Dave Sunday to take the fight statewide and across the nation as Pennsylvania Attorney General,” said RAGA Chairman and Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes. “Dave’s prosecutorial background will benefit Pennsylvania and America, as we grapple with drug trafficking, human trafficking, and illegal immigration. Dave’s perspective as a prosecutor will be a tremendous asset to Pennsylvania whether he’s fighting criminal activity, woke policies, or unconstitutional federal overreach.”
“RAGA’s early engagement in Pennsylvania paid dividends and proved to be one of our wisest investments to date,” said RAGA Executive Director Peter Bisbee. “By the end of the campaign, television inventory was virtually non-existent and Pennsylvania became one of the hottest and most expensive places in the country to purchase TV. We outplayed our Democrat counterpart, who did not have the resources to compete in Pennsylvania this year and could not run a single TV ad. By contrast, RAGA spent nearly $11 million on TV, digital ads, and mailers. This record spending in Pennsylvania by RAGA was worthwhile because Dave Sunday will be an excellent Attorney General.”
