WASHINGTON- The Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) today congratulated New Hampshire Attorney General John M. Formella on his unanimous confirmation by the New Hampshire Executive Council to a second term as Attorney General, following his renomination by Governor Kelly Ayotte.
“Attorney General Formella has proven himself to be a strong, principled leader who is committed to keeping New Hampshire families safe and upholding the rule of law,” said Kansas Attorney General and RAGA Chairman Kris Kobach. “His unanimous confirmation is a testament to his effectiveness, his integrity, and the trust he has earned across party lines.”
“John Formella has been an incredible advocate for the people of New Hampshire,” said Adam Piper, RAGA Executive Director. “Formella is recognized as a leader among his colleagues because of his strong advocacy for public safety, consumer protection, and evenhanded approach to ensuring justice is applied fairly and firmly across the Granite State.”
Since first taking office in 2021, Attorney General Formella has led major prosecutions of violent offenders, expanded the state’s Cold Case Unit, strengthened efforts to combat fentanyl trafficking, and launched the Northern Border Alliance Task Force to protect public safety along New Hampshire’s northern border. He has also been a fierce advocate for Second Amendment rights, ensuring that the freedoms of law-abiding gun owners are protected in New Hampshire and across the country.
“I am grateful to Governor Ayotte and the Executive Council for their confidence in me and for the opportunity to continue serving as New Hampshire’s Attorney General,” said Attorney General Formella. “It is an honor to lead the dedicated team at the Department of Justice and to work every day on behalf of the people of our state. Together, we will continue working to keep New Hampshire the safest state in the nation, hold offenders accountable, protect victims, and safeguard the rights of all of our citizens.”
RAGA applauds Attorney General Formella’s leadership and looks forward to his continued service as a key partner in advancing public safety, defending constitutional freedoms, and promoting accountability under the law.
