WASHINGTON- The Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) is calling on Jay Jones to immediately withdraw from the Virginia Attorney General’s race following today’s story about his abhorrent text messages.
“There is no place for political violence, including joking about it – especially from an elected official. Jay Jones should drop out of the Attorney General’s race. His comments are not acceptable from someone who wants to represent law enforcement,” said RAGA Chairman Kris Kobach.
“Jay Jones is the worst of the worst. Democrats must stop calling Republicans fascist; this is exactly the kind of rhetoric that the Left is using to tear this country apart,” said RAGA Executive Director Adam Piper. “Conservatives are being executed for their beliefs, and text messages like these are part of the problem. Virginia deserves far better.”
Jay Jones must drop out or deal with the consequences of his text messages at the ballot box. All elected officials, Republicans and Democrats, should disavow Jay Jones’ disgusting demands for political violence.
