Richmond, Va. – It’s not a surprise Jason Miyares was the clear victor in the Virginia Attorney General’s debate tonight.
“Jason Miyares has dutifully served as the People’s Protector during his time as Attorney General, and he proved again tonight that he knows how to best defend Virginia’s families, businesses, and communities,” said Kansas Attorney General and RAGA Chairman Kris Kobach. “We need Jason to continue fighting the good fight as Attorney General. I am confident that his victory in this debate confirmed to voters that Jason Miyares is still the right choice for AG.”
“Jay Jones lacks the judicial temperament to be Attorney General. His text messages are a clear disqualifier. His record is a disqualifier, as is the fact Jay Jones has lied about his record, his community service, and his experience. The only time Jay Jones has been in a courtroom was the time he lied to the court about his community service; the same day when others in court got jail time, even though they were caught driving slower than Jay Jones,” said RAGA Executive Director Adam Piper. “Any voter who is still supporting Jay Jones clearly puts partisanship over principle and is willing to support a quitter who skipped out on his oath of office and fantasizes about killing political rivals and their children. Jay Jones is simply too violent, too reckless, and too radical to be Attorney General.”
RAGA has invested more than $8.5 million in the 2025 Attorney General’s race in Virginia, nearly three times more than its Democrat counterpart. This is the largest investment by any national committee in the statewide races in Virginia in 2025.
