The Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) today announced its endorsement of Liz Murrill for Louisiana Attorney General.

Murrill, Louisiana’s current Solicitor General, has been waging a strong campaign to succeed her current boss, Attorney General Jeff Landry, who is running for Louisiana Governor. Murrill has raised more than $1 million since entering the race for Attorney General last year and has $950,000 in her war chest, positioning her strongly to win the primary and general elections.

“Liz Murrill has demonstrated time and again her willingness to fight for conservative values in the courtroom,” said RAGA Chairman Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall. “Liz has no need to make empty promises about what she’ll do if elected—she can show you what she’s already done. I am grateful that Liz has offered herself to serve as Louisiana’s Attorney General. She is an important voice in the conservative legal movement.”

“Over the last decade, many of our nation’s most important legal victories against the administrative state and wins for the rule of law and Constitution have been the direct result of Liz Murrill’s legal tenacity,” said RAGA Executive Director Peter Bisbee. “Her proven conservative record, remarkable legal career and impressive start to her campaign has made an endorsement from RAGA’s Executive Committee an easy decision.”
