WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) today showcased two ads, “Doug Lloyd Tough On Crime” and “Eli Savit Dangerously Liberal on Crime,” from its affiliated group, Safer Michigan Fund, committed to electing conservative attorneys general and a safer Michigan.
“There is a reason Michigan law enforcement overwhelmingly supports Doug Lloyd. Doug Lloyd has spent more than three decades prosecuting criminals, working with law enforcement, and keeping Michigan communities safe. Eli Savit is a far left, socialist sympathizing, soft on crime radical who coddles criminals including those who rape 10 and 12 year olds,” said RAGA Executive Director Adam Piper.
Doug Lloyd brings more than 30 years of courtroom and prosecutorial experience to the race for Michigan Attorney General. As Eaton County Prosecutor, Lloyd has spent decades prosecuting criminals, working alongside law enforcement, and protecting Michigan families. He helped establish Eaton County’s Economic Crime Unit, which has returned more than $10 million to victims, and has built a career focused on public safety and holding criminals accountable. Lloyd’s record has earned the backing of the Police Officers Association of Michigan (POAM), which endorsed him for Attorney General in January 2026. As RAGA Executive Director Adam Piper has put it, Lloyd has “spent decades as a prosecutor protecting Michiganders” and understands that “public safety is not a partisan issue.”
Eli Savit’s record as Washtenaw County Prosecutor stands in stark contrast to a public-safety-first approach. Under Savit, his office stopped prosecuting consensual sex work and certain entheogenic plant offenses, while he backed no-cash-bail policies. Meanwhile, Doug Lloyd has spent more than 30 years prosecuting criminals and working alongside law enforcement. Michigan families deserve an Attorney General who will stand with police, hold criminals accountable, and put public safety first.
